Shabazz Napier recorded his first career triple-double with 22 points, 13 assists and a career-high 12 rebounds as No. 4 Connecticut overcame early struggles to cruise past visiting Coppin State, 87-70, on Sunday.

Jeremy Lamb added a game-high 25 points and Tyler Olander collected 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies (4-0), who extended their nation’s longest winning streak to 15 games.

The Eagles hung with the Huskies in the early going, taking a 27-14 lead midway through the first half when Michael Harper converted a three-point play.

That play woke up the Huskies, who closed the first half with a 27-7 run to take control. Lamb showed off his offensive skill set at the end of the burst, making a driving layup, burying a 3-pointer and hitting a turnaround jumper for the last eight points of the half.

Lamb started off the second half with a 3-pointer and a dunk and finished 10 of 17 from the floor.

Napier controlled the pace, helping to make sure Coppin State could not creep back into the game with a strong second half.

Tony Gallo scored 20 points to lead the Eagles (1-3).
