A Hopkins steal and layup with 2:18 left capped Providence's 10-2 run to open overtime. After a Marquette timeout, Kolek scored seven consecutive points to bring the Golden Eagles back within one.

Hopkins hit one of two free throws before Kolek's fadeaway jumper in the lane tied the score at 89 with 5.8 seconds left.

Kolek and Olivier-Maxence Prosper fouled out early in the second overtime, but Jones hit the first two field goals to lift Marquette. The hosts ultimately took over at the line.
