Fletcher Loyer scored a career-high 22 points to lead No. 4 Purdue to a 65-62 overtime road win against Nebraska on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.

Zach Edey had 11 points and 17 rebounds for Purdue (10-0, 2-0 Big Ten), which won despite shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 24.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Keisei Tominaga scored 19 points off the bench, while Derrick Walker (10 rebounds) and Emmanuel Bandoumel each scored 14 points for Nebraska (6-5, 0-2), which shot 31.9 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from the 3-point line.

Purdue took a 61-60 lead with 1:30 remaining in overtime on a jumper by Loyer, then went up 63-60 with 27.6 seconds remaining after two free throws by Braden Smith.

Nebraska cut Purdue's lead to 63-62 with 14.8 seconds remaining on a basket by Tominaga, and then Smith hit two more free throws to give Purdue a 65-62 lead with 12.3 seconds left.

Nebraska's Sam Griesel missed a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and the Cornhuskers couldn't get another shot before the buzzer sounded.

With the game tied at 56-56 with eight seconds remaining in regulation, Purdue had a chance to win, but an open 3-pointer from the corner by Loyer bounced off the rim before the buzzer sounded.

Nebraska trailed 54-53 with under a minute remaining in regulation, then missed four shots on one possession before Purdue corralled the rebound.

The Boilermakers took a 56-53 lead on two free throws by Brandon Newman with 20.5 seconds left, but Nebraska tied the game with eight seconds left on a 3-pointer by Tominaga.

Nebraska trailed 47-41 with 11:06 remaining, but the Cornhuskers pulled with two at 50-48 with 6:48 after a left-handed hook by Walker.

Purdue built a 45-31 lead with 15 minutes left, but Nebraska went on a 10-0 run to cut its deficit to 45-41 with 12:05 following Tominaga's 3-pointer.

The Boilermakers held a 34-24 lead at halftime.
