Quenton Jackson scored a game-high 28 points and Tyrece Radford added 22 as Texas A&M continued its late-season surge with an 87-71 victory over No. 25 Alabama on Wednesday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Jackson shot 9-for-13 from the field overall and scored 17 points in the second half for the Aggies (19-11, 8-9 SEC), who have won four of their past five games following an eight-game losing streak.

Radford shot 9-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range, in addition to grabbing eight rebounds.

Henry Coleman III added 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for Texas A&M.

Alabama (19-11, 9-8) was led by Jaden Shackelford, who scored 16 points while hitting 4 of 10 attempts from 3-point range. Jahvon Quinerly added 14 points and Keon Ellis had 13 points for the Crimson Tide, who had won five of their previous six games.

The Aggies shot 56.9 percent (33-for-58) from the field, including 43.8 percent (7-for-16) from 3-point range, and scored 29 points off Alabama's 19 turnovers.

Alabama never found a rhythm on offense. The Crimson Tide shot 48.1 percent (26-for-54) from the field, including 44 percent in the second half, and made just eight of their 24 3-point attempts on the night.

Trailing 40-37 at halftime, Texas A&M opened up a 56-50 lead on Hayden Hefner's 3-pointer with 12:27 remaining. The Aggies pushed their lead to 63-54 thanks to Coleman's layup with 9:37 remaining.

After the Aggies boosted the gap to 13 on Ethan Henderson's dunk with seven minutes to go, the Crimson Tide scored the next five points before Radford ended the run with a dunk off his steal with 6:04 left.

Neither team led by more than six points in the first half.

Shackelford scored 12 first-half points to pace an offense that shot 51.7 percent (15-for-29) from the floor, including 38.5 percent (5-for-13) from beyond the arc, and was 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

Radford had 12 first-half points for Texas A&M, which shot 50 percent (14-for-28) from the field, including 2-for-5 from 3-point range, and made all seven of its free-throw attempts.
