Iowa coach Fran McCaffery enjoyed ample opportunity to showcase his team's depth as the Hawkeyes earned a 95-62 victory over Chicago State on Friday night in Iowa City, Iowa.

Freshman center Luke Garza converted all six shots he attempted in his college debut to pace Iowa with 16 points in 18 minutes.

Sophomore guards Isaiah Moss (14 points) and Jordan Bohannon (12 points, 6 assists) drilled four 3-pointers apiece while sophomore power forward Tyler Cook had 12 points. Freshman center Jack Nunge and sophomore guard Maishe Dailey each added 10 points off the bench.

Junior guard Fred Sims Jr. paced Chicago State (0-1) with 15 points while junior guard Rob Shaw contributed 10 points, six assists and four steals.

The Hawkeyes -- offering no indication they'll miss graduated Big Ten scoring champ Peter Jok -- riddled Chicago State from all over the floor as long as the Cougars weren't committing one of their frequent fouls.

Iowa finished at 60 percent from the field and 55 percent on 3-pointers, but just 60 percent at the line.

With 13 minutes left in the game and Iowa leading 73-37, the Hawks were shooting better from two-point range (16 of 25) and 3-point range (10 of 17) than at the free-throw line (9 of 17). At that juncture, McCaffery gave his starters a break and allowed his next five to receive an extended run.

Iowa didn't even showcase all of its depth as junior forward Nicholas Baer sat out. The Big Ten's reigning Sixth Man of the Year will miss three to four weeks after breaking his left pinkie finger last weekend in practice.
