Miami trailed for much of the second half but rallied late and held off patient Princeton 76-64 on Tuesday in Coral Gables, Fla.

The No. 13 Hurricanes (11-1) went on a 10-0 run to overcome a seven-point deficit midway through the second period and took the lead for good when guard Angel Rodriguez followed two free throws with a 3-pointer to give Miami a 62-58 advantage with less than five minutes left.

The Tigers (7-4) countered with guard Amir Bell's layup but the Hurricanes responded with four unanswered points and slowly pulled away in the closing minutes.

Rodriguez was one of four Hurricanes in double figures with 14 points. Guards Ja'Quan Newton and Davon Reed contributed 13 each with all of Newton's coming in the second half. Forward Kamari Murphy added 10.

Bell, a sophomore, matched his career high with 17 points. Forward Henry Caruso had 14, guard Devin Cannady 13, and forward Spencer Weisz 10.

Miami, which shot 54.5 percent for the game, appeared to have things well in hand early, but Princeton overcame a cold start and scored the last nine points of the half to go to the locker room up 30-27. The Tigers led 52-45 with less than 11 minutes left before the Hurricanes worked their comeback.
