The Ole Miss backcourt of Stefan Moody and Rasheed Brooks had a big night, leading the Rebels to a 99-80 win over Louisiana Tech on Tuesday at C.M. Tad Smith Coliseum in Oxford, Miss.

Moody, a senior guard, poured in a game-high 29 points, and Brooks hit 8 of 10 shots and finished with a career-high 21 points. He fueled a 17-1 run in the second half to put away the Bulldogs.

The Rebels (8-2) got off to a red-hot start, shooting 61.8 percent from the floor and connecting on 9 of 16 3-pointers in the first half. Moody had 16 in the first half, helping Ole Miss build a 52-40 lead at halftime. The 52 first-half points were a season-high for the Rebels.

Guard Erik McCree scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half to keep the Bulldogs close, but the Rebels slammed the door in the second and cruised to their fifth straight win. Forward Marcanvis Hymon came off the bench to score 14 points, and forward Tomasz Gielo added 13 points for Ole Miss. Forward Sebastian Saiz grabbed 16 rebounds for the Rebels.

Louisiana Tech guard Alex Hamilton scored 16 points, and guard Jacobi Boykins added 13 points for the Bulldogs, who had their three-game win streak snapped. Louisiana Tech falls to 8-2 under first-year coach Eric Konko.
