Forward Devin Thomas added 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Greg McClinton had 11 points for Wake Forest (7-2), which has its first four-game winning streak in the two seasons under coach Danny Manning.

Guard Codi Miller-McIntyre made his season debut for Wake Forest, which hadn't played since Dec. 4, as he came off a fractured foot sustained during the preseason. He scored three points.

The Spartans scored seven of the last eight points in the first half to close within 38-36 at the break.

Forward Kayel Locke scored seven consecutive UNCG points early in the second half as the Spartans pulled even at 45-45.

Wake Forest followed with a 13-0 run across the next four minutes.

Locke finished with 25 points for UNCG (4-6), which lost all eight all-time meetings with Wake Forest. Guard Diante Baldwin's 14 points and center R.J. White's 11 points also helped UNCG.

The Spartans, who are winless in four road games this season, were content to launch long-range shots, attempting 16 of their 33 first-half field goals from 3-point range. They finished 7-for-23 on 3-pointers.
