No. 5 Wisconsin 74, Iowa 63: Frank Kaminsky recorded 24 points and nine rebounds as the visiting Badgers defeated the Hawkeyes in Big Ten play for their fourth straight victory.

Nigel Hayes contributed 14 points and three assists while Sam Dekker scored 11 to go along with eight rebounds for Wisconsin (19-2, 7-1 Big Ten), which had a 35-24 edge on the boards. Josh Gasser chipped in with 11 points for the first-place Badgers, who defeated Iowa 82-50 at home on Jan. 20.

Aaron White, who was questionable during the week due to a stinger he suffered in his last game, scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Iowa (13-8, 4-4). Gabriel Olaseni added 12 points for the Hawkeyes, who went 7-of-24 from the field in the second half to lose their third straight contest.

Kaminsky scored 11 in the opening half as Wisconsin shot 53.6 percent from the field and led by as many as eight before settling for a 42-36 lead at intermission. Iowa shot 64 percent in the opening 20 minutes, but a Kaminsky 3-pointer and a basket by Bronson Koenig quickly pushed the Badgers’ advantage to 47-36 in the second half.

The Hawkeyes battled back within five before Wisconsin ran off nine of the next 12 points, highlighted by a one-handed dunk on a rebound by Hayes, for a 58-47 lead. White’s 3-pointer pulled Iowa within 65-57 with 2:57 to go, but the Badgers made three stops and 7-of-8 free throws to extend the lead to 72-57 and cruised from there.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wisconsin has won five straight and 16 of the last 21 games against the Hawkeyes. … White moved past Jess Settles (1,611) for eighth on Iowa’s all-time scoring list with 1,617 points and Olaseni had two blocks to move ahead of Ryan Bowen (125) for fifth with 126. … The teams combined for three turnovers in the first half and 14 overall -- eight for Iowa and six for the Badgers.
