Kameron McGusty scored 22 points, leading the host Miami Hurricanes to an 80-52 win over the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday afternoon.

Miami shot 1-of-11 on three-pointers in the first half but improved to 11-of-15 after the break.

Hurricanes senior guard Dejan Vasiljevic, who led the ACC in three-point percentage as a sophomore, missed all five of his long-range shots in the first half, but he shot 3-of-4 in the second half and had all 13 of his points after the break.

Chris Lykes added 12 points to help Miami (3-1) win its third straight game.

Redshirt freshman Savion Lewis came off the bench to score 16 points, and Jacob Rigoni added 13 points for Quinnipiac (0-2).

Bobcats forward Kevin Marfo had nine points and 13 rebounds. He has 27 rebounds in two games to start the season.

The Bobcats, who ranked fifth in the nation last season with 11.3 three-pointers per game, suffered through cold shooting on Saturday as they faced an ACC school for the first time in program history. They shot 32.3 percent from the floor, including 5-of-29 on 3-point attempts (17.2 percent).

Even so, Quinnipiac scored the game's first two baskets, and Miami didn't grab its first lead until a three-pointer by Lykes gave the Hurricanes an 11-10 advantage with 12:51 left in the first half.

Miami led the rest of the half, going up by as many as nine points before heading into the break with a 29-24 advantage.

Both teams shot poorly in the first half. Miami shot 32.4 percent from the floor, including 1-of-11 on 3-pointers (9.1 percent). Quinnipiac shot 30.0 percent, including 2-of-15 from 3-point range (13.3 percent).

Perhaps the best shooters on each side -- Miami's Vasiljevic and Qunnipiac's Rich Kelly -- each went 0-for-5 on three-pointers in the first half.

Miami finally got hot to start the second half, going on a 10-0 run to stretch the lead to 39-24, and the Hurricanes coasted from there.
