Playing off the bench for just the second time in his career, LSU guard Antonio Blakeney had 13 second-half points while point forward Ben Simmons shook off early foul trouble to lead the Tigers past Ole Miss and sharpshooting guard Stefan Moody, 90-81, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La., on Wednesday.

Blakeney, one of five Tigers in double figures, scored five straight points midway through the second half to break a 64-all tie, then buried a 3-pointer after Ole Miss took a 71-70 lead, giving LSU a lead it never relinquished.

Blakeney finished with 15.

Simmons played just 12 first-half minutes and scored just four points after two quick fouls forced him to the bench. He asserted himself throughout the second half on the block, scoring 11 of his 15 points, one of four Tigers in double figures in the second half.

Forward Craig Victor led the Tigers with 18.

Moody, the Southeastern Conference's leading scorer, buried a season-high six 3-pointers, good for a career-high 33 points on 10-of-18 shooting. He had 16 in the first half, including four of his six treys.

Guard Rasheed Brooks added 18 for the Rebels, who suffered just their second loss in seven games.
