No. 2 Syracuse 69, Boston College 59: Trevor Cooney scored 14 of his game-high 21 points in the first half and the visiting Orange survived an upset bid to remain one of four undefeated teams in college basketball.

Jerami Grant had 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench for Syracuse (17-0, 4-0 ACC), which won the turnover battle 16-8. C.J. Fair and Tyler Ennis scored 12 points apiece and combined for nine steals as the Orange took the first meeting between the former Big East foes since 2005.

Lonnie Jackson made 6-of-9 3-pointers in scoring 18 points for the Eagles (5-12, 1-3), who led by as many as eight in the second half. Ryan Anderson contributed 14 points and Olivier Hanlan had 13.

Cooney had three dunks in a 10-0 burst that gave the Orange a 32-23 advantage late in the first half, but the hosts took off from there. Jackson drained a 3-pointer to spark a half-ending 7-0 run and hit two more after the break, the second of which helped Boston College score 11 straight points and take a 45-37 lead.

Jackson's sixth triple made it 50-44 with 12 minutes left before Syracuse made its charge, getting a dunk and a three-point play from Grant to reclaim the lead and a jumper and a 3-pointer from Cooney to make it 60-51 with six minutes to play. Grant had a put-back slam moments later to keep it a nine-point margin and Boston College could not get closer than six points down the stretch, lasting over 11 minutes without a field goal following Jackson's 3.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Conte Forum was sold out for the first time since Feb. 19, 2002, vs. Duke. ... Syracuse was 17-for-21 from the line. ... Boston College received zero points on one shot from its bench.
