Jamal Jones scored a career-high 18 points and Fabyon Harris added 12 to help the Aggies to a home win over the Golden Lions.

Kourtney Roberson added 11 points and seven rebounds for Texas A&M (6-0), which also got 11 points from Jordan Green. Jones had a career-best five 3-pointers, as the Aggies hit 9-of-15 from beyond the arc.

Tevin Hammond paced Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-4) with 15 points, while Daniel Broughton added 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Golden Lions shot 33.9 percent from the field and turned the ball over 18 times.

It was a close game throughout the first half, with the Golden Lions within one with just over five minutes to play before halftime. But the Aggies closed the half on a 19-5 run, helped by seven straight points by Harris and a pair of 3-pointers by Jones.

The lead was 15 just over three minutes into the second half when Roberson went on a personal 8-0 run to put Texas A&M firmly in control. Arkansas-Pine Bluff cut the margin to 16 with just over 10 minutes to play but then failed to score for nearly six minutes, as the Aggies went on a 15-0 run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arkansas-Pine Bluff leading scorer Davon Haynes (14.2 average) was 4-of-13 from the field, including 0-of-3 from 3-point range, and finished with eight points. … Texas A&M missed 12 of its 35 free-throw attempts. … The Aggies improved to 4-0 against the Golden Lions all-time.
