No. 12 Kansas State 68, No. 15 Oklahoma State 57: Rodney McGruder led all scorers with 25 points and the Wildcats maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half in the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament at Kansas City, Mo.

Looking for its first tournament title, second-seeded Kansas State will face top-seeded Kansas in Saturday's championship game. The two teams tied for the regular-season title.

Angel Rodriguez added 17 points for Kansas State (27-6), which avenged a loss on the final day of the regular season that prevented the Wildcats from winning the outright Big 12 title. Marcus Smart led Oklahoma State with 18 points.

The Cowboys (24-8) led 17-12 in the first half but the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run and took a 28-23 lead into the break. Kansas State opened up as much as a 15-point lead in the second half. Oklahoma State closed it to 61-53 on a 3-pointer by Le'Bryan Nash with 1:47 to play but could get no closer.

Kansas State center Jordan Henriquez, who was treated for back pains at a hospital earlier in the day, scored eight points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Game notebook: Oklahoma State's Mike Cobbins appeared to suffer a dislocated shoulder midway through the first half. He returned later in the first half and but soon after left the game for good. ...The last time Kansas State was seeded second was in 2010 when it reached the final and lost to Kansas. ...Nash had 11 points for the Cowboys, who shot 30.5 percent.
