No. 8 Georgetown 64, Rutgers 51: Otto Porter Jr. had 28 points and helped the Hoyas extend their win streak to 11 by shaking off the visiting Scarlet Knights in the second half.

Porter Jr. got 15 of his points at the foul line and added eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks for the Hoyas (23-4, 13-3 Big East). He was the only Hoya in double figures as Markel Starks and D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera each chipped in nine points.

Wally Judge had a team-high 11 points for the Scarlet Knights (13-14, 4-12) before fouling out with 4:39 left. Myles Mack and Dane Miller each added nine for Rutgers, which has lost 10 of 11.

Jerome Seagears had five points during a 6-2 Rutgers run to get within 49-45 with 8:08 left but Georgetown pushed the lead out to 10 with a 9-3 run, capped by Porter Jr.'s reverse layup.

Porter Jr. capped a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer for a 26-19 lead with 4:01 left in the first half but Mack hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final minutes to pull Rutgers within 29-28 at halftime. Rutgers outscored Georgetown 10-4 in the paint in the first half and 16-12 overall.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Georgetown matched its longest conference win streak at 11 (2006-07). ... The Hoyas have beaten Rutgers in 12 of the past 13 meetings. ... Georgetown improved to 15-1 at home.
