Clemson 56, Georgia Tech 53: K.J. McDaniels scored 14 points, and Milton Jennings blocked a potential game-tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds as the visiting Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak.

Clemson (13-11, 5-7 ACC) built a 47-35 lead on Jennings’ 3-pointer with 7:55 remaining. The Yellow Jackets (13-10, 3-8) fought back, pulling within 55-53 on Chris Bolden’s two free throws with 34 seconds left.

Georgia Tech had one last chance with seven seconds left, but Jennings blocked Mfon Udofia’s potential game-tying 3-pointer with two seconds remaining.

Devin Booker added 13 points for the Tigers, who had not won since beating Georgia Tech 63-60 on Jan. 29. Jennings added 12 points.

Marcus Georges-Hunt led Georgia Tech with 11 points. Robert Carter Jr. finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets, who shot 3-for-13 from 3-point range.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Clemson shot 9-for-17 from the free-throw line, missing two of three attempts in the final 32 seconds. … Clemson scored eight of the game’s first nine points and led by as many as eight before the Yellow Jackets rallied to within 20-15 at halftime.
