Nick Jacobs scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures and the host Crimson Tide held on to snap the Tigers' three-game win streak.

LSU went on an 8-0 run to pull within one with two minutes left, but Trevor Lacey answered with two free throws and Jacobs added two more to push the lead to five. Jacobs finished 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Playing only its second home game since Jan. 23, Alabama (15-8, 7-3 SEC) improved to 10-3 at Coleman Coliseum. LSU (13-8, 4-6) fell to 2-6 on the road.

Sophomore forward Johnny O’Bryant III led the Tigers with 22 points and 11 rebounds, his sixth double-double in the past seven games.

Alabama, which bounced back from a 12-point loss at Auburn, led 27-21 after a half in which it held the Tigers to 8-of-26 shooting. Trevor Releford finished with 12 points, and Rodney Cooper and Levi Randolph added 10 each.

LSU’s last six games have been decided by a total of 17 points. The Tigers are 4-2 in that stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Alabama has won six of the last seven meetings, and 11 of the past 14. … The Tide have held their last eight SEC opponents to 60 or fewer points. … Releford (1,104 career points) became the 42nd player in Alabama history to surpass the 1,100-point mark.
