Alabama 58, Vanderbilt 54: Trevor Lacey scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half, including the go-ahead 3-pointer, as the Crimson Tide won at Vanderbilt for the first time in 23 years.

Andrew Steele added 13 points and Rodney Cooper scored 11 as Alabama (14-7, 6-2 SEC) stormed back from an 11-point deficit in the final seven minutes for its first win at Memorial Coliseum since Feb. 3, 1990.

Kedren Johnson scored 15 points - 12 in the first half - and Kyle Fuller added 13 for the Commodores (8-12, 2-6), who managed only three free throws over the final 7:10 in absorbing their third consecutive defeat.

Vanderbilt appeared on its way to its fourth straight win over the Crimson Tide when Fuller buried his third 3-pointer to give the Commodores their largest lead at 51-40 with 7:10 to play.

Nick Jacobs converted a three-point play and Steele connected from behind the arc to ignite the comeback before Lacey drilled a 3-pointer to give Alabama its first lead at 56-54 with 56.8 seconds to play. Cooper and Lacey each added a free throw to ice it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Commodores had hit 12 of 15 shots during one stretch and were shooting 60 percent midway through the second half before winding up at 48.7 percent. ... Cooper grabbed six rebounds to bounce back from a miserable outing in Thursday's win over Arkansas, in which he was scoreless and played only 16 minutes due to a "coach's decision." ... Alabama has won six of its last seven games and held its sixth straight opponent to 56 points or fewer.
