West Virginia 71, TCU 50: Eron Harris had 19 points and the host Mountaineers used a couple scoring runs to pull away and keep the Horned Frogs winless in Big 12 play.

Deniz Kilicli had 11 points and eight boards for the Mountaineers (9-9, 2-3 Big 12), who won the rebounding battle 42-30. Dominique Rutledge added eight rebounds in 14 minutes for West Virginia.

Kyan Anderson paced the Horned Frogs (9-10, 0-6) with 19 points, while Connell Crossland added 11.

After trailing for much of the first half, TCU pulled to within 22-18 on Garlon Green's free throw with 5:09 remaining in the first half. But a 12-4 run by West Virginia to end the first half opened things up to a 12-point advantage at the break.

The Mountaineers extended it to a 20-point advantage with 12:58 to play before TCU went on a 14-4 surge, capped by Adrick McKinney's six straight points, to cut it to 10 with 8:07 to go. But West Virginia responded with a 10-2 run to open it up to 18 yet again, all but ending the Frogs' chances.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 71 points scored by West Virginia was the most given up by TCU since a 76-73 win over UAB on Nov. 24, a span of 11 games. … Eleven different players scored for the Mountaineers.. … TCU will take its next shot at its first Big 12 win when it hosts Baylor on Saturday. West Virginia heads to the road to face Oklahoma State on Saturday.
