Aaron White had 17 points and seven rebounds and Roy Devyn Marble added 13 points as the Hawkeyes snapped the visiting Badgers’ seven-game winning streak.

Iowa (13-5, 2-3 Big Ten) led by as many as 20 points in the first half before Wisconsin (13-5, 4-1) rallied to cut the deficit to 66-63 on George Marshall’s 3-pointer with 24 seconds remaining. The Hawkeyes responded with four straight free throws to secure their third straight win against the Badgers.

Marshall scored 20 points and Sam Dekker had 13 for the Badgers, who were coming off a 64-59 win at No. 2 Indiana on Tuesday. Wisconsin had held its first four Big Ten opponents to an average of 50.5 points.

Iowa committed a season-low six turnovers and shot 82.8 percent (24-of-29) from the foul line, compared to 66.7 percent (8-of-12) for Wisconsin. The Hawkeyes' Mike Gesell scored 11 points while Anthony Clemmons added 10.

Wisconsin, which entered the game leading the nation in fewest turnovers per game at 8.9, had more turnovers (eight) than baskets (six) in the first half. The Badgers shot 23.1 percent in the first half and 43.1 percent overall.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Badgers F Jared Berggren, averaging 12.9 points and 6.3 rebounds, was limited to eight points and five boards. .. Former Hawkeye Chris Street’s memory was honored at halftime. Saturday marked the 20th anniversary of the passing of Street, who was a junior when he was killed in an auto accident on Jan. 19, 1993. … Iowa has won 15 of its last 18 home games.
