Iowa State 82, Texas 62:
Freshman forward Georges Niang had a career-high 18 points to help the Cyclones beat the Longhorns and extend their home win streak to 16.

In his third start, Niang went 5-for-7 from the floor. Will Clyburn added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Cyclones (11-4, 1-1 Big 12) while Tyrus McGee added 15 points off the bench, including four 3-pointers.

Julien Lewis and Jonathan Holmes each had 15 points to lead the Longhorns (8-8, 0-3). Texas entered the game leading the country in field goal percentage defense but allowed Iowa State to shoot 43.9 percent.

McGee capped a 10-0 run with back-to-back 3-pointers for a 27-15 lead with 9:10 left in the first half. Texas climbed within five points but McGee and Niang hit 3-pointers to push the lead back to 11 on the way to a 42-31 halftime advantage.

Texas' Demarcus Holland hit a jumper to cut the lead to 51-46 with 13:05 left but the Longhorns didn't get any closer. Clyburn and Chris Babb hit consecutive 3-pointers to start a game-ending 17-4 run. The Cyclones finished 11-for-26 beyond the arc.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa State is the only team in the country to score at least 70 points in every game this season. ... Texas is 0-3 in Big 12 play for the first time since 1997-98. ... Iowa State had 18 assists - led by Korie Lucious' nine - and just five turnovers.
