Georgia 52, George Washington 41: Nemanja Djurisic scored 17 points, including two key baskets late, as the host Bulldogs pulled away to win their fourth game in a row.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also scored 17 points for Georgia (6-7), which heads into its SEC opener Wednesday at No. 9 Florida with momentum. The Bulldogs, who ranked 298th nationally in scoring offense starting the day, finished the game with a 10-2 run.

Nursing a 42-39 lead with less than three minutes left, Djurisic scored on consecutive possessions to give Georgia a 46-39 advantage with 1:22 remaining. Djurisic and Caldwell-Pope combined to shoot 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 46 seconds.

The Bulldogs scored only three points in the final seven minutes of the first half as George Washington built a 21-18 lead at intermission.

Kevin Larsen scored 14 points to lead the Colonials (6-7), who closed non-conference play by losing four of their final six. George Washington hosts St. Bonaventure in its Atlantic 10 opener on Wednesday.
