Vanderbilt 64, William & Mary 50: Freshman forward Sheldon Jeter came off the bench to record a career-high 14 points as the host Commodores downed the Tribe.

Vanderbilt (6-6) also received 12 points apiece from Kedren Johnson and Rod Odom. Kyle Fuller finished with eight points as coach Kevin Stallings won his 182nd game at Memorial Gym, the most in school history.

William & Mary (7-5) tied the score at 31 on a Kyle Gaillard layup with 15:23 to go, but the Commodores followed with a 17-8 run. The Tribe's Tim Rusthoven picked up his fourth foul with 13:25 left, allowing Vanderbilt to build its lead. One last 8-0 spurt allowed the Commodores to stretch the advantage to double digits.

Three players finished in double digits for William & Mary, led by sophomore Marcus Thornton's 14. Rusthoven scored 11, while Matt Rum added 10.

The Tribe shot 34 percent from the field and managed to narrowly outrebound the Commodores 31-30, led by Gaillard's 10.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Vanderbilt leads the series 5-0. … The Commodores have made a 3-pointer in 844 straight games, the second-longest streak in the nation behind UNLV. … Vanderbilt's free throw woes continued as it shot 8-for-16 from the line.
