Georgia Tech 74, Chattanooga 58: Marcus Georges-Hunt had 16 points to lead four players in double figures as the Yellow Jackets overcame a slow start to knock off the visiting Mocs.

Mfon Udofia pitched in 14 points for Georgia Tech, which won its sixth consecutive game. Robert Carter Jr. added 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.

With Georgia Tech shooting just 4-of-17 to start the game, Chattanooga was able to open up a 17-10 lead. The early deficit served as a wake-up call for the Yellow Jackets (10-2), who answered with 18 of the next 24 points for a 28-23 edge at halftime.

After shooting just 10-of-29 in the first half, Georgia Tech knocked down seven of its first 13 attempts after the break to distance itself from the Mocs (5-9). Z. Mason and Farad Cobb paced Chattanooga with 14 points apiece.

Kammeon Holsey added 10 points for the Yellow Jackets, who open up ACC play next with a visit from Miami on Saturday after closing out the non-conference portion of the schedule.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Yellow Jackets won their 14th straight decision over Chattanooga and lead the series 16-2. ... Georgia Tech had a 39-24 rebounding advantage over the Mocs, who came into the game leading the Southern Conference with an average of seven more boards per game than their opponents. ... The Yellow Jackets have won their last four games by an average of 26.8 points.
