UC Irvine 61, USC 54:
Daman Starring scored 23 points and went 5-of-6 from 3-point range as the visiting Anteaters stunned the Trojans.

Adam Folker added 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting as UC Irvine (6-7) won for just the second time in seven road games this season.

Omar Oraby scored 12 points and Eric Wise added 10 for USC (4-7), which committed 16 turnovers while losing for the sixth time in seven games.

The Anteaters led by 14 early in the second half and still enjoyed a 10-point edge with under five minutes remaining. USC crept within 57-52 on a 3-pointer by J.T. Terrell with 4:03 to play but missed five of its final six shots.

UC Irvine finished the first half with a 20-8 run to take a 37-25 halftime lead. Starring scored 10 first-half points and Wilder had nine on three 3-pointers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UC Irvine beat the Trojans for just the second time in eight attempts. … Terrell scored six points in 15 minutes in his second game as a reserve after losing his starting job. He played just 82 seconds against UC Riverside in USC’s previous game. … The Anteaters were 9-of-26 from 3-point range.
