South Florida 72, Youngstown State 54: Victor Rudd recorded 16 points and a career-best 16 rebounds as the Bulls came from behind to put away the visiting Penguins.

Youngstown State built its biggest lead, 45-39, with 15:25 remaining before South Florida (6-3) scored 13 of the next 15 points to take a lead and continued to pull away. Anthony Collins added 14 points and seven assists for the Bulls, who were playing for the first time in 13 days.

Kendrick Perry led the way for the Penguins (6-5) with 15 points, including just one in the second half before fouling out with 5:49 left, and Bobby Hain added 11. South Florida snapped Youngstown State’s three-game win streak and held the Penguins 20 points under their scoring average.

Toarlyn Fitzpatrick chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds for the Bulls, which dominated on the backboards 44-32 and made eight 3-pointers.

South Florida registered the game’s first seven points, but Perry helped bring Youngstown State back by making four of its seven 3-pointers in the first half. Perry’s driving layup at the buzzer tied it 33-33 at intermission.
