Brandon Reed scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures as the Yellow Jackets cruised to their third straight win over the visiting Hornets.

Georgia Tech (7-2) used a 28-3 run over a 10-minute span in the first half to break open a close game and raced to a 40-20 halftime advantage.

Robert Carter Jr. posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets while Mfon Udofia tallied 12 and Kammeon Holsey came off the bench to chip in 11. Georgia Tech shot 49.2 percent from the field and connected on eight 3-pointers.

Alabama State (1-9) did not have a player reach double figures. Bobby Brown and Jamel Waters had seven points each to pace the Hornets, who shot just 25 percent (15-for-60) from the field and 50 percent (7-for-14) from the charity stripe.
