Marquette 60, Wisconsin 50: Junior Cadougan scored 14 of his career-high 18 points in the second half to help the host Golden Eagles hold off the Badgers.

Vander Blue added 17 for Marquette (6-2), including two 3-pointers to beat the shot clock in the first half. Davante Gardner had 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocks off the bench for the Golden Eagles.

Ryan Evans and Jared Berggren each scored nine to lead Wisconsin (6-4), which never led in the intense rivalry game.

Blue's second 3-pointer and Gardner's coast-to-coast layup capped an 11-2 run to give Marquette a 30-16 lead with 3:49 left in the first half.

Berggren, Wisconin's leading scorer, didn't score until a layup with 11:56 left and then hit a 3-pointer to get the Badgers within 41-38. Cadougan scored 10 of his team's next 12 points to end the threat.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wisconsin's four losses are against teams that went to last year's NCAA tournament - Florida, Creighton, Virginia and Marquette ... The teams hit 16-of-40 free throws combined ... Marquette has won four of the past six meetings.
