Connecticut 57, Harvard 49: DeAndre Daniels scored 23 points as the host Huskies pulled away from the stubborn Crimson.

In a contest punctuated by three big runs, Connecticut (7-2) broke open a three-point game in the final 11 minutes. Leading 37-34 with 10:33 remaining, the Huskies went on an 11-2 run to seal the victory.

Connecticut raced to a 15-2 advantage with 13:22 remaining in the first half. Harvard (4-4) scored the next 12 points, pulling within 15-14 on Christian Webster’s 3-pointer with 8:12 left in the half.

Ryan Boatright added 16 points for the Huskies, who shot 52.2 percent from the field.

Wesley Saunders led Harvard with 14 points. Steve Mondou-Missi added 10 points and Webster chipped in nine.

GAME NOTEBOOK
: Connecticut missed its first shot, then hit six in a row in building its early 13-point advantage. … Harvard freshman Siyani Chambers, who leads the Ivy League in 3-point shooting and is second in free-throw shooting, scored just three points. … Connecticut now leads the all-time series 16-2.
