Washington 74, Cal State Fullerton 72: C.J. Wilcox made two free throws with three seconds remaining as the Huskies pulled out the victory after rallying from a 13-point halftime deficit.

Wilcox finished with 21 points -- his third straight game with more than 20. Desmond Simmons matched his season high with 14 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, while freshman guard Andrew Andrews scored 13 for Washington (4-3).

Andrews had a chance to put the Huskies up by four points with 11 seconds left, but missed the second free throw. Alex Harris sank a 3-pointer on the other end for the Titans (3-4), tying the score at 72 with seven seconds left. D.J. Seeley then fouled Wilcox, sending him to the line.

Seeley scored 24 points to lead Cal State Fullerton, but committed three of his six turnovers in the final 2:39. Kwame Vaughn and Harris scored 14 apiece.

Cal State Fullerton surged to early leads of 11-2 and 17-4. The Huskies briefly cut the lead back to five but Fullerton went on another run and led 43-29 at the half. Washington began chipping away at the lead in the second half, however, and finally tied the score at 65 on a layup by Andrews with 3:37 left. The Huskies took the lead on a dunk by Aziz N’Diaye with 2:57 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The last time the teams met was during the 1986-87 season, a game won by Cal State Fullerton 75-55. … Washington guard Scott Suggs missed his third consecutive game with a foot injury, moving Andrews into the starting lineup. Andrews hit one of two free throws in the closing seconds to clinch the win against Saint Louis earlier in the week. … Cal State Fullerton had to match the 7-foot N’Diaye with 6-7 forward Deuce Johnson. N’Diaye finished with 12 points.
