Jarred DuBois scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Running Utes to a victory in the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament at Salt Lake City.

Utah (3-1) took the lead on a DuBois jumper just five minutes into the game and never trailed again. The Utes eventually stretched the lead to 14 before finishing the first half with a 37-24 advantage.

Derrick Richardson Jr. led Central Michigan (2-2) with 10 points off the bench. The Chippewas shot just 29.8 percent from the floor.

Glen Dean added 13 points for Utah, which won the battle on the boards, 38-29.

DuBois added five rebounds and five assists. Jordan Loveridge had a game-high nine rebounds for Utah.

Game notebook: The Utes play Wright State in the final round of the tournament on Saturday. Central Michigan will play Idaho State. ... It was the first meeting between the two teams. ... Utah is 2-0 in its own tournament.
