No. 13 Creighton 87, Presbyterian 58: Doug McDermott scored 20 of his 24 points in the first half and outscored the visiting Blue Hose by himself in the opening 20 minutes as the Bluejays rolled to an easy win in the first round of the Las Vegas Classic.

Leading 10-9 midway through the first half, Creighton (3-0) used a dominating 23-2 run over a span of 5:39 to put the game away as the Bluejays raced to a 43-17 halftime lead.

Ethan Wragge added 18 points and Austin Chatman chipped in nine and 11 assists for Creighton, which shot 61.5 percent from the field (32 of 52), including 50 percent from 3-point range (12 of 24).

Jordan Downing scored a game-high 25 points for Presbyterian (0-3).

GAME NOTEBOOK: McDermott got back on track after having his 37-game double-figure scoring streak snapped in the win over UAB on Nov. 14...Creighton hosts Longwood on Tuesday in the second round of the tournament before heading to Las Vegas later this week to face No. 20 Wisconsin. ... Ryan McTavish had six rebounds to lead Presbyterian.
