Rodney Cooper hit the tiebreaking 3-point basket from the left corner with 12.2 seconds left and the visiting Crimson Tide remained unbeaten while knocking off the Beavers in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Trevor Lacey scored 20 points and Trevor Releford added 12 for Alabama (3-0), which will meet Villanova in Friday's championship game. The Wildcats defeated Purdue 89-81 in overtime on Thursday.

Devon Collier scored 21 points to lead Oregon State (2-1), which committed 19 turnovers and received only three points from leading scorer Ahmad Starks.

Alabama scored the final four points of the first half and began the second half with a 12-2 run to open up a 47-34 advantage with 14:42 to play. The Crimson Tide led by 14 with under nine minutes left before the Beavers rolled off nine straight points.

Collier hit two free throws with 43 seconds left to tie the score at 62 before Cooper drained the decisive shot to cap his 12-point effort.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lacey has 11 3-pointers through three games after hitting 31 all of last season. … Starks averaged 25.5 points over his first two games before going 1 of 6 from the field against the Crimson Tide. … Releford had 10 first-half points as Alabama took a 35-32 lead.
