Colorado 67, Dayton 57: Askia Booker had 16 points, including two big 3-pointers down the stretch, as the Buffaloes came from behind in the second half to beat the Flyers in the first round of the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

Booker put Colorado ahead for good 50-47 with a 3-pointer and connected for another with 1:25 remaining to push the lead to 62-54. Andre Roberson added six points and 14 rebounds for the Buffaloes (2-0), who will play Baylor in Friday's semifinals.

Freshmen Xavier Johnson and Josh Scott chipped in with 15 and 13 points, respectively, for Colorado, which shot almost 60 percent from the field in the second half after going only 10-for-30 in the opening 20 minutes.

Five straight points by Johnson gave Colorado a 23-20 lead before Dayton scored the final seven points of the first half for a 27-23 halftime advantage. Khari Price and Matt Derenbecker each made 3-pointers in the late run.

Dayton pushed its lead as high as 35-27 early in the second half before Colorado put together a 16-2 run. Vee Sanford led the Flyers with 13 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Roberson moved from ninth to sixth on Colorado’s all-time rebounding list with 718. … Dayton is 12-10 against Pac-12 opponents. … Kevin Dillard, who sat most of the first half with foul trouble, and Josh Benson each added 10 points for Dayton while Devin Oliver recorded 12 rebounds.
