No. 10 Florida 74, No. 20 Wisconsin 56: Erik Murphy scored 24 points to equal a career high, and the homestanding Gators turned back the Badgers.

Murphy was questionable to play after missing Tuesday's practice with the flu, but went out and made every field goal (10) and free throw (2) he attempted. Mike Rosario added 15 points for Florida (2-0). Kenny Boynton contributed 10 points, six rebounds and three assists while filling in again at point guard with Scottie Wilbekin suspended.

Jared Berggren and Sam Dekker scored 11 points apiece to lead Wisconsin (1-1), which trailed from wire to wire. The Badgers gave up 70-plus points only twice last season while leading Division I in scoring defense at 53.2 points per game.

Florida shot well enough to defuse any defense, shooting 61.9 percent from the field. The Gators were even better in the first half, making 18 of 24 shots. Florida also hit its first 15 free throws en route to a 16 of 20 effort at the line and outrebounded the Badgers 39-21.

Wisconsin, meanwhile, missed its first eight shots from the field before Berggren's jumper just inside the 15-minute mark of the first half. By then Florida had taken a 9-0 lead. The Badgers never got closer than four the rest of the way.
