Mike Black scored two of his game-high 22 points with five seconds left and the Great Danes handed the Huskies a rare home loss.

After Abdul Gaddy scored to put Washington ahead 62-61 with 12 seconds left, Black took the inbound pass and scored on a layup to complete the upset. The loss was only the Huskies’ 29th in their last 177 home games.

Jacob Iati scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, for Albany, which shot 45.1 percent from the field and won despite being outrebounded 35-20.

There were 10 lead changes in the first half, which ended when Black scored on a layup right before the buzzer to give Albany a 31-27 lead. Black shot 8-of-13 from the field and had six assists and five rebounds.

Gaddy had 16 points and Aziz N’Diaye had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Washington, which led 40-35 with 15:55 remaining on a C.J Wilcox dunk.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Huskies guard Scott Suggs left the game early in the first half with a concussion after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head. … The Great Danes were picked to finish fourth in the America East Conference preseason poll. …Washington shot only 57.7 percent (15-of-26) from the free-throw line.
