Seton Hall 75, Missouri-Kansas City 36: Fuquan Edwin scored 16 points as the Pirates rolled past the Kangaroos in the season opener for both teams.

Seton Hall (1-0) never trailed in a game that was tied twice early in the first half, pulling away after breaking an early 6-6 tie.

Transfers Eugene Teague and Brian Oliver contributed in their first games with the Pirates. Teague, who last played at Southern Illinois, scored 14 points while Oliver, a transfer from Georgia Tech, added 13.

UMKC placed no players in double figures. Fred Chatmon came off the bench to score a team-high nine points while Estan Tyler added eight.

The Kangaroos were held to 31.3 percent shooting while Seton Hall shot 49 percent.
