Jordan McRae sparked an early 3-point barrage as Tennessee overcame the loss of Jeronne Maymon and routed host Chaminade 86-60 in the seventh-place game at the Maui Invitational Tournament on Wednesday.

McRae finished with a career-high 25 points and went 5 of 7 from beyond the arc to lead the Volunteers (3-2), who matched their season-high with 15 3-pointers.

Trae Golden hit all four of his 3-point attempts and added 17 points as Tennessee shot 57 percent from the field.

Tennessee won handily despite getting just two minutes from Maymon, who suffered a bruise on his calf and did not return. The junior forward was one day removed from a 32-point, 20-rebound performance in Tuesday’s double-overtime loss against Memphis

The Vols hit five of their first seven 3-point attempts as they raced out to an early 26-12 advantage over the Silverswords (3-3) midway through the first half. They extended the lead to 20 by halftime and led by as many as 31 over the final 20 minutes.

Matt Cousins led Chaminade with 17 points.
