Tennessee 68, Vanderbilt 61: Senior guard Cameron Tatum scored 18 points as the host Volunteers won for the eighth time in nine games and split the regular-season series with the Commodores.

Tennessee (18-13, 10-6 SEC), which outrebounded Vanderbilt 39-27, could make a case for an NCAA at-large bid if it makes a deep run in next week’s conference tournament.

Trae Golden scored 17 for the Volunteers, sinking all eight of his foul shots.

The Commodores (21-10, 10-6) made only 8 of 16 from the foul line and 39 percent from the field. SEC leading scorer John Jenkins scored 18 points, but needed 15 shots to do it.

The Senior Day game drew 22,172, Tennessee’s largest home crowd of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams have first-round byes in the SEC tournament. ... Vanderbilt’s Jeffery Taylor, the SEC’s second-leading scorer at 17.4 points per game, was held to 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. ... The Volunteers have won six in a row at home. … Volunteers junior forward Kenny Hall missed his sixth straight game with an indefinite suspension.
