Galloway, who has 79 3-pointers this season, was 4 for 6 from beyond the arc as Saint Joseph’s (19-11, 9-6 Atlantic 10) ended its 10-game losing streak to city rival Temple (22-6, 11-3).

Halil Kanacevic notched his seventh double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks.

The Owls managed to overcome a 14-point first half deficit and led 47-44 with 14:39 remaining, but Carl Jones and Galloway combined for five 3-pointers over the next seven minutes to give Saint Joseph’s a lead it would not relinquish.

Michael Eric posted his fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Owls, who missed out on their chance to go 6-0 against their Big 5 rivals this season.
