WEST VIRGINIA 66, PITTSBURGH 48: Kevin Jones delivered his 18th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and the Mountaineers rode a 12-0 second-half run to their first victory in Pittsburgh since February 2005.

Darryl Bryant added 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals and Deniz Kilicli had 14 points for West Virginia (17-10, 7-7 Big East), which had dropped five of its past six games.

Tray Woodall, whose 24 points sparked the Panthers' 72-66 triumph in Morgantown on Jan. 30, finished with a team-high 12 points and eight assists but shot just 5 of 16. Pitt (15-12, 4-10) has followed its recent four-game win streak with three consecutive losses.

Only four Mountaineers scored in the first half, but they managed to take a 26-25 edge at the break. Kilicli (nine), Jones (eight) and Bryant (seven) tallied all except two of West Virginia's points.

Bryant, the team's second-leading scorer, didn't start after a 3-for-17 shooting performance and a scoreless effort in back-to-back losses to Louisville and Notre Dame, respectively.

A 3-pointer and layup by freshman Jabarie Hinds extended West Virginia's margin to 38-31 with 12:57 remaining. The Mountaineers went just 2 of 11 from behind the arc, but shot a stellar 18 for 19 at the foul line.

After a three-point play by Woodall cut Pitt's deficit to 40-36, West Virginia had its decisive burst. Bryant's three-point play of his own, on a layup and foul by Woodall, capped an extended 19-5 run for a 52-36 advantage with 6:52 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kilicli scored seven consecutive Mountaineers points as they jumped out to a 9-4 advantage. … Bryant hit his first two shots off the bench. … Pitt didn't lead until 21-20, on Ashton Gibbs' two free throws with 4:06 left in the first half.
