Nasir Robinson had a game-high 23 points and seven rebounds as Pittsburgh defeated No. 10 Georgetown 72-60 at the Petersen Events Center.

With the win, the Panthers (13-9, 2-7 Big East) improved to 12-0 all-time against top-10 opponents at home.

Lamar Patterson finished with a career-high 18 points and seven assists and Ashton Gibbs added 13 points for the Panthers, who held the Hoyas scoreless for more than five minutes in the first half before taking a 33-22 halftime lead. During the stretch, Georgetown missed nine consecutive shots.

The Hoyas (16-4, 6-3 Big East) cut the deficit to five points on two separate occasions in the second half, but the Panthers responded with a basket each time. They increased their lead to double digits for good with 3:10 left.

Georgetown lost for the first time in four games and shot just 42 percent from the field, including 31 percent from 3-point range.

Otto Porter had 14 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Hoyas, who never led and trailed by as many as 17 points late in the first half.

Hollis Thompson finished with 11 points and Henry Sims added 10. Jason Clark, the Hoyas’ leading scorer, finished with nine points on three-of-nine shooting. Georgetown scored 60 or less for the fourth time this season.
