Jorge Gutierrez had 15 points and six assists as California remained unbeaten at home with an 81-45 Pacific-12 rout of visiting Utah Saturday.

Justin Cobbs and Harper Kamp added 14 points apiece for California (15-4, 5-1 Pac-12), which is tied with Stanford for first place in the Pac-12. Cobbs added a career-high 11 assists.

Utah (4-13, 1-4 Pac-12) was coming off an encouraging three-point loss at Stanford, but the Utes never threatened the Golden Bears, who closed the first half on a 26-8 run to lead by 17 at halftime.

Josh Watkins scored 15 points and Jason Washburn added nine for Utah, which shot 17-of-49 (34.7 percent) from the field. The Utes have lost three straight games and five out of their last six.

California forced 18 Utah turnovers while improving to 13-0 at Haas Pavilion. The Golden Bears also improved to 13-0 when leading at halftime.

After shooting just 35 percent in a 57-50 win over Colorado on Thursday, California returned to form by shooting 34-of-57 (59.6 percent) against the Utes.

Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak, whose team trailed by 30 with seven minutes left, played for California coach Mike Montgomery from 1982-86 at the University of Montana.
