Steven Pledger scored a season-high 31 points and had a career-high 10 rebounds as Oklahoma rallied from a seven-point deficit to beat Houston 79-74 at the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Cameron Clark added 14 points for the Sooners (8-1), who led by as many as six points in the first half and 40-37 at halftime.

The Cougars (4-5) came out hot in the second half, using a 16-4 run to build a 51-44 advantage on Jonathon Simmons’ three-point play with 16:17 remaining.

Pledger led the Sooners back. His jumper with 6:16 to go pushed Oklahoma ahead 63-62. With 5:04 remaining, Pledger hit a 3-pointer as Oklahoma moved ahead 68-67.

Pledger entered the game shooting 57.7 percent from the field, ranked second in the nation among guards. He finished 10-for-13 from the field, hitting four 3-pointers.

Sam Grooms added 10 points and eight assists, and Andrew Fitzgerald had 10 points and six rebounds for Oklahoma.

Houston's Alandise Harris, who came in fourth in Conference USA in scoring at 16.0 points, did not start and was saddled with foul trouble all night. Harris finished with only six points, four coming in the final three minutes.

Simmons led Houston with 20 points.
