Freshman Cody Zeller had 16 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four blocks as Indiana trounced visiting Stetson, 84-50, on Sunday.

Victor Oladipo added 13 points and Jordan Hulls collected 12 points and four assists for the Hoosiers (8-0), who are off to their best start in the four-year tenure of coach Tom Crean.

The Hatters (4-4) hung around in the first half, drawing within 33-29 at the break. But Indiana was a different team in the second half, using Crean’s half court defensive system to jump out with a 32-5 run.

Oladipo capped the surge with a transition layup and had a pair of dunks during the burst. Stetson committed seven turnovers during that 12-minute stretch and made only two field goals.

The Hoosiers will get a much stiffer test when they host No. 1 Kentucky next weekend.

Chris Perez was the only Stetson player to reach double figures with 13 points.
