Freshman Ryan Boatright collected 23 points, six assists and five rebounds off the bench to lead No. 10 Connecticut to a 75-62 victory over visiting Arkansas on Saturday as part of the Big East/SEC Challenge.

Jeremy Lamb added 14 points and Shabazz Napier chipped in nine and dished out seven assists for the Huskies (7-1), who clinched the Challenge win for the Big East.

Boatright, who missed the first six games due to a suspension for receiving improper benefits, has made up for lost time. The Aurora, Ill., product played a key role in Connecticut’s win over Florida State in his debut last weekend and took over in the second half on Saturday, scoring 16 points after the break.

Arkansas (5-2) grabbed an early 8-1 lead in the first half but the Huskies quickly regained control, ripping off a 22-4 burst capped by a 3-pointer from Lamb. The Razorbacks would sneak back within 39-32 at the half and pull to 64-57 in the second half before going cold and missing 10 straight field goal attempts.

Connecticut shot 57 percent (28 of 49) in the contest, including five of eight from beyond the arc.

Arkansas was kept in the game by their own freshman sensation, B.J. Young, who scored a game-high 28 points and added five rebounds.
