Nurideen Lindsey made sure St. John’s didn’t need a comeback on Sunday. After St. John's struggled through its first two games, Lindsey nearly had a triple-double to lead St. John's to an easy 82-59 win over Maryland-Baltimore County.

Lindsey was one of five St. John’s players in double figures. He scored 15 points, added 10 rebounds and nine assists to spark the win. The Red Storm also got 18 points from Moe Harkless and D’Angelo Harrison scored 17. God’sgift Achiuwa added 15 points and eight rebounds.

The Red Storm had come from behind to win its first two contests, but spared its fans the drama against UMBC. St. John’s surged ahead after leading by five at the half to improve its record to 3-0.

Brian Neller scored 13 points and Chase Plummer added 12 points for UMBC (0-2). St. John’s has won both its meetings against UMBC.
