John Jenkins and Jeffery Taylor combined for 42 points, 31 coming in the second half, as No. 18 Vanderbilt won its fifth straight, 77-60, over Auburn on Saturday in Auburn, Ala.

Vanderbilt (20-6, 8-4 SEC), which struggled in the first half and led only 28-26 at the break against last-place Auburn (9-17, 2-10 SEC), broke out of a 42-42 tie with a 14-0 run to put the game away and send the Tigers to their fourth loss in five games.

Jenkins, the leading scorer in the SEC, scored 16 of his game-high 22 in the second half, while Taylor tallied 15 of his 20 after halftime to lead the Commodores. Taylor notched his second double-double of the season as he added 10 rebounds.

Brad Tinsley chipped in 16 for Vanderbilt, which held on to second place in the SEC East as it beat Auburn for a fifth straight time.

The Tigers were led by Earnest Ross, who garnered his fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 boards, while Kenny Gabriel added 13 points.
