Darius Morris had 23 points and Stu Douglass added 14 and four 3-pointers as visiting Michigan completed a season sweep over undermanned Penn State, 65-62, Sunday afternoon at Bryce Jordan Center.

Tim Hardaway Jr. added 13 points and keyed a decisive run for the Wolverines (14-10, 4-7 Big Ten). Hardaway drained consecutive shots from the arc and Morris added a jumper and layup to spark a 10-0 run that provided Michigan a 57-53 lead with 3:12 remaining.

Talor Battle scored 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Penn State (12-10, 5-6), which played without forward Jeff Brooks, the team’s leading rebounder and shot blocker and No. 2 scorer. The senior separated his shoulder in the first half against Illinois Tuesday.

The Lions, who led 46-36 with just over eight minutes left, got within one on Battle’s three-point play, but Jordan Morgan dunked and Hardaway converted a layup after a steal by Zack Novak to put Michigan back in command.

Battle wouldn’t quit, but missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 43 seconds left. The Wolverines salted the game away at the line and delivered a blow to Penn State's chances for an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The Nittany Lions smothered the Wolverines early, taking a 9-2 lead and increasing it to 24-13 on a 3-pointer by D.J. Jackson with 6:52 left in the first half. But Penn State went scoreless the rest of the half, and Douglass nailed two 3-pointers as Michigan closed on a 12-0 run for a 25-24 lead.
