Jordan Hamilton had 16 points and nine rebounds as No. 3 Texas never trailed en route to a 76-60 victory over visiting Texas Tech on Saturday.

Gary Johnson also scored 16 points for the Longhorns (20-3, 8-0 Big 12), who shot 50 percent from the field, including 8 of 16 from 3-point range.

John Roberson scored 16 points, and David Lewandowski had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Red Raiders (11-13, 3-6 Big 12), who were coming off an 88-66 loss to No. 2 Kansas on Tuesday.

Texas led by as many as 19 in the first half en route to a 46-30 lead. Texas Tech scored the first seven points of the second half, and trimmed the lead to 53-47 on David Tairu's basket with 11:22 to go.

The Longhorns responded with an 8-0 run, highlighted by a pair of 3-pointers by J'Covan Brown, and coasted to their 14th victory in their last 15 games.

Tairu finished with 14 points and five rebounds.
